As a non-profit organization, our aim is to raise funds for the research and development of a safe and effective cure for Vision Degrading Myodesopsia (eye floaters).

A cure for this disease is being approached in two ways. First, we aim to unite eye floater patients from around the world to form a pressure group – showing the medical community just the widespread and problematic nature of this condition.

As eye floater patients ourselves, we understand the frustration when a doctor tells you to “just ignore them.” We believe there is a better solution.

Deuxièmement, notre objectif est de collecter des fonds pour la recherche essentielle. Sans dons, cette recherche ne peut pas progresser. Sous la direction du Dr. J. Sebag de la VMR Research Foundation en Californie, tous les dons reçus financent directement la recherche, les équipements et les coûts de main-d'œuvre qui y sont associés.

This is the question we all want to know. We want a cure as soon as possible. We understand the pain and suffering eye floater patients experience because we are patients ourselves. This is precisely why we have taken action to contribute to the cause to find the cure.

Since the organization began, a number of influential people who suffer from the same disease have united to contribute and accelerate the project. All members are volunteers, and receive no monetary compensation for their efforts.

Dr. J. Sebag MD, FACS, FRCOPHTH, FARVO is a world-renown Vitreo-Retinal Ophthalmologist. Founder of the VMR Institute in California, USA, he has created a non-profit organization called VMR Research Foundation.

Le projet VDM a été créé à la fois pour augmenter les coûts associés à la recherche et pour créer un groupe de pression afin de changer les perceptions de cette maladie dans la communauté médicale.

100 % des fonds collectés bénéficient directement à la Fondation de recherche VMR et aux recherches qu'elle mène pour mieux diagnostiquer et éventuellement guérir les corps flottants.
